Perennials Manager Overview

Position: Perennials Manager

Hours: Full-Time, Year-round

Compensation: This is a salaried position.

Gwenyn Hill Farm is hiring one full-time, year-round Perennials Manager. The Perennials Manager is responsible for the care, maintenance, and planting of the varied perennial produce on Gwenyn Hill Farm. Perennial crops include a four-acre orchard of tree fruit and berries, and a half-acre vineyard of hardy table grapes. New installations include asparagus and rhubarb. In addition, there are perennial landscape installations around the farmhouses and buildings that come under the care of the perennials manager. Qualified applicants for the Perennials Manager position will have experience in organic or IPM orchard and vineyard production, landscape management, crew supervision and training, and direct-to-consumer produce marketing.

Seasonal Farm Crew Position Overview

Position: Seasonal Farm Crew Member
Hours: Full-Time, Seasonal
Compensation: Wages begin at $15 / hour

Gwenyn Hill Farm is hiring full-time, seasonal employees for the 2022 season (approximately May through November). Farm Crew Members work with our management team, crew leaders, and farm staff to perform day-to-day operations on the farm. This work includes but is not limited to: greenhouse production, planting, weeding, harvesting, mulching, trellising, washing, packing, CSA and Farmers Market customer service, gathering eggs, general farm maintenance such as mowing, and accurate record-keeping. Applicants for the Farm Crew position will ideally have at least one season of related experience caring for plants, either at another farm, or at a greenhouse or nursery.  We are interested in employees who have a desire to work here for more than one year, with opportunities for additional responsibilities and pay raises.
