Kerem Sengun
Organic Vegetable Farm Manager Apprentice
Kerem, a Turkish/German transplant to the Midwest, joined GHF after a decade in Chicago, where he met all the right people who inspired, taught, and helped him find the tools and perseverance to believe that he could be a farmer and that it is a worthy vocation.
Kerem traces his interest in farming partly to the vegetable-rich kitchen of his family, and partly to his deep interest in restoration ecology and the long histories of agriculture.
He and his wife are mesmerized by the beauty of Wisconsin, and feel at home in its prairies and forests.
In hindsight, he didn’t need that master’s degree in international affairs!
