Kitt Garmisch
Land & Livestock Manager
Kitt grew up in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago; an unsuspecting place for a future “Carbon Cowboy”. He spent much of his time feeling out of place amongst the strip malls and streetlights, finding himself more at home amongst the sporadically placed nature preserves in the area.
During his early schooling, he found a love for the natural world around him. Broadening his knowledge in many sciences, particularly environmental science and ecology. During his study Kitt became stumped on how he could make the greatest impact against the looming threat of climate change. Eventually he found his answer in Regenerative Agriculture. After earning an associate’s degree in agriculture from Mchenry County College, he went off to start his adventure grazing dairy cows and pasturing poultry.
Kitt joined the Gwenyn Hill Land and Livestock team in November 2024 as the Dairy Manager. He is responsible for the health and wellness of our livestock as well as the quality of milk, egg, and meat production.
