Laura Seleski

Organic Vegetable Farm Manager (OVFM) Apprentice

Laura grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where she was far from farm life and reliant on systems she knew were unsustainable for the land, the people, and her spirit. In 2017, she started working on organic farms that prefaced holistic and regenerative stewarding practices to start learning what it will take for a collective shift to be made.

After farming out west for five years, Laura was eager to return to her midwest roots to care for the land and community that raised her. Laura initially joined our team as a seasonal field crew worker, then transitioned to the Fairshare Coalition’s Organic Vegetable Farm Manager Apprenticeship. 

Laura is passionate about tending the soil that will provide nourishment, healing, and growth for herself, her broader community, and the planet.
