The greenhouse is built, but we are waiting on heat and electricity. Our tables got delivered yesterday, but they need to be assembled. We even got a nice watering system that hangs from the ceiling so that it’s easy to move and out of the way, but we need to install and hang it. All of our other smallwares, and a whole pallet of planting soil, have been ordered and are on the way.
The one thing we really need is a work table. I designed a special table that looks sort of like a giant sandbox, but at chest height for ease of filling flats. My only problem is that I don’t know anything about carpentry, so we need to find someone who does. The table design is based off of a potting table available from gardeners.com, but it’s way too small for our needs.
The hard part is knowing that we are going to have to do a lot of work before we can ever get started planting. The nice part is that once we install everything, it will be in place for the future, and all we have to do is maintain it. Next year this will be so much easier!
Update: we found a carpenter to make our workstation, the greenhouse tables are being assembled, and our potting soil and greenhouse trays are being delivered tomorrow. We are on our way!
